The Summers of 1976 and 1977 were revolutionary! These were the years of ‘anarchy in the UK’ with bands like the Sex Pistols, Clash, Buzzcocks, Boomtown Rats, The Damned, Billy Idol’s Generation X, the Angelic Upstarts, The Adverts, X-Ray Specs, Sham 69 and a whole lot more inspiring youth to burn their elder brother’s rock records! Fashion, too, was revolutionary with Vivien Westwood and Malcolm McClaren blazing a trail with bondage and rubber, safety pins and trash bags!
As this tour runs through much of central London, you'll also see the major sightseeing icons and even a few palaces! This tour is only run on special request on a day of your choice. I only expected to hear about the musical side of things but this was a real social-history education!' Bob Peterson, USA Reservations reservations@londonrocktour.com |
