Punk and New Wave Rock - a breath of fresh air in the late '70s that spawned a thousand new bands and still inspires today. Never mind the Palaces, here's the Punk rock tour!

The Summers of 1976 and 1977 were revolutionary! These were the years of ‘anarchy in the UK’ with bands like the Sex Pistols, Clash, Buzzcocks, Boomtown Rats, The Damned, Billy Idol’s Generation X, the Angelic Upstarts, The Adverts, X-Ray Specs, Sham 69 and a whole lot more inspiring youth to burn their elder brother’s rock records! Fashion, too, was revolutionary with Vivien Westwood and Malcolm McClaren blazing a trail with bondage and rubber, safety pins and trash bags!

Wanna relive those years or understand the 'whys and wherefors' of punk history? See where the barricades were manned and the events of the period unfurled? Then this is the day for you. Amongst the more than 50 punk-related locations and sites visited we include the pubs where the early Clash and Sex Pistols performed, Joe Strummer’s ‘squat’, the studio where  both ‘London Calling’ and ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ were made. You'll see flats and apartments where the bands lived (and died!). We visit seminal gig sites like the 100 Club and Roxy, record company and management offices, the birth place of the Sex Pistols, album cover shot locations, punk boutiques, the legendary punk rock 'house of horrors', and much more. This is rock history as it should be experienced; entertainment with a knowledgeable guide and a soundtrack to die for!

As this tour runs through much of central London, you'll also see the major sightseeing icons and even a few palaces!

'This was a most unusual way to see the city. I only expected to hear about the musical side of things but this was a real social-history education!' Bob Peterson, USA
